About Bark
Bark.co is a comprehensive online marketplace that connects consumers with local service professionals across various categories. Founded in 2014, the platform simplifies the process of finding trusted service providers by allowing users to submit service requests which are then matched with qualified professionals in their area. Bark covers over 500 service categories including home improvement, pet care, tutoring, photography, event planning, and wellness services. The platform uses a sophisticated algorithm to match customers with pre-vetted professionals based on their specific needs and location. Bark operates on a lead generation model where service providers pay for qualified leads rather than charging customers directly. The company has built a network of millions of service professionals across the United States and has expanded to serve customers in the UK and Canada. Bark's user-friendly interface and rigorous vetting process have made it a popular choice for consumers seeking reliable local services.
